Sarah Ferrer-Bruker, DO, FAAD, FAOCD
Education and Experience
Dr. Sarah Ferrer-Bruker (Dr. Ferrer) is a double board certified dermatologist, trained both in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. After graduating with honors from Florida State University she attended Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed both Internal Medicine and Dermatology residencies in West Palm Beach, Florida at West Palm Beach Hospital and the West Palm Beach VA Hospital where she served as chief resident.
As a Jacksonville native growing up in a Navy family it is her dream come true to open a brand new practice to serve St. Augustine and the greater Jacksonville area. For the past five years she has provided comprehensive dermatologic care for all ages, from the most simple to complex cases in a small group private practice setting in Fleming Island, Florida.
Dedication and Approach
Dr. Ferrer offers thorough total body skin cancer screenings with dermoscopy, an array of treatment options for precancerous skin lesions, surgical excisions and other gentle small procedures for skin cancers and benign skin lesions such as cysts or severely atypical nevi.
She has special interests in complex medical dermatology particularly severe atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, rosacea, cutaneous drug reactions, cutaneous manifestations associated with lupus and dermatomyositis, and immunobullous disease.
Dr. Ferrer also offers expertise and experience in aesthetic dermatology. She believes in combining preventative care with individually tailored skin care and gentle non-surgically invasive techniques with hyaluronic acid injectables and neuromodulators to achieve the most natural and satisfying results.
Locally, Dr. Ferrer enjoys teaching dermatology residents as a clinical professor for Mercer College of Medicine and Orange Park Medical Center. She believes strongly in patient education and in the mentoring of young women striving for careers medicine.
She is dedicated to humanitarian medical work and in January 2020 along with Dr. Bishr provided dermatologic care to refugee camps via the Syrian American Medical Society. She serves as Jacksonville Dermatologic Society’s Secretary/Treasurer, happily lives in Jacksonville with her husband Zac, their 3 young children, dog, and loves tennis.
Bishr Al-Dabagh, MD, MBA, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Bishr Al-Dabagh is a double board-certified dermatologist and micrographic dermatologic surgeon (American Board of Dermatology), fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon (American College of Mohs Surgery) and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstruction, and medical dermatology. He has performed over 15,000 Mohs surgeries and numerous other procedures. Before each procedure, he will explain everything in detail and ensure you are cared for, every step of the way. Patients can trust they will receive the highest quality care given Dr. Al-Dabagh's excellent eye for detail and his strong clinical and academic background.
Education
Dr. Al-Dabagh is a Michigan native and attended the University of Michigan-Flint's Honors Scholar Program, graduating with three degrees: Honors Biology, Honors Mass Media Communication, and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with a minor in chemistry.
He was selected as student commencement speaker at graduation. During his time at the University of Michigan, he received over 30 scholarships and awards including the prestigious Maize and Blue Award, the highest honor for graduating seniors.
Dr. Al-Dabagh received his medical training at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic, where he graduated at top of his class with Alpha Omega Alpha distinction.
During medical school he was engaged in numerous research projects including genetics, ophthalmology, and dermatology research. After medical school he was an intern at Akron General Medical Center, where he was chief of the transitional year residents. He completed his dermatology residency at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center, where he continued to engage in research and excel academically.
In addition to his surgical and medical work, Dr. Al-Dabagh has a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Leadership and Organizational Dynamics from the University of Michigan-Flint’s School of Management. With the changing healthcare industry, he realizes that there is more to running a practice than just being a great physician. He wanted to make sure he was well-educated on the business and management side of healthcare so that he can maintain an independent, successful, and patient-oriented practice.

As a certified personal trainer, Dr. Al-Dabagh has a passion for fitness and whole body health.
Dr. Al-Dabagh believes in a holistic approach to skin health and staying youthful through excellent diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications.
He is dedicated to helping patients achieve their most radiant skin from the inside out with an individualized skincare plan and total wellness program. During his free time, he enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures.
He travels abroad annually on mission trips to help the unserved (see video below). He plays tennis and frequents the gym almost daily. He enjoys the outdoors- always wearing sunscreen of course!
Loren Bonenclark, MPAS, PA-C
Education and Experience
Loren Bonenclark is a highly skilled physician assistant who specializes in dermatology. She received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2013, graduating with honors. She then attended the University of Florida, where she obtained her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016.
After completing her education, Loren gained valuable experience working within the Emergency General Surgery department at the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland for three years. She then decided to move her career closer to home and spent another three years working within the Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Department at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2022, Loren was invited to join the Bold City Dermatology family as the first PA hired by the company. She offers a thoughtful approach in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical dermatologic diseases. Loren continues to perfect her skills through dutiful collaboration with her physician colleagues, Dr. Sarah Ferrer-Bruker and Dr. Bishr Al-Dabagh.

Loren’s expertise and experience in head and neck cancer, wound care, surgical removal of benign and malignant skin lesions, and cosmetic suture technique have been a welcomed addition to the Bold City Dermatology provider team. She promotes the prevention of skin cancers by advocating for safe sun exposure and offering skin cancer screenings as a part of her practice. Loren has a special interest in treating complex medical dermatology patients including those suffering with atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, and rosacea.
Loren and her husband Jack live locally in Saint Augustine, Florida with their son Clark and their chocolate lab Pepper. They enjoy hiking in the nearby state and regional parks, trips to the Saint Augustine beaches, and contributing to the local economy by frequenting local farmers markets and restaurants. Loren is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare provider who is committed to providing the highest quality care to her patients.
Elizabeth Ferdman MPAS, PA-C
Education and Experience
Elizabeth Ferdman is a nationally licensed and board certified physician assistant who specializes in dermatology. After receiving her undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Geneseo, Elizabeth attended D’Youville University in her hometown of Buffalo New York. She graduated magma cum laude with her masters degree in physician assistant studies in 2017.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (FSDPA). Elizabeth is excited to be the newest member of the Bold City Dermatology family and feels honored to work in collaboration with her physician colleagues Dr. Sarah-Ferrer-Bruker and Dr. Bishr Al Dabagh.
Throughout her physician assistant training, Elizabeth maintained a strong interest in dermatology, choosing to complete her elective clinical rotations in the field as well as focusing on dermatology for her masters thesis.
Elizabeth has worked in the field of dermatology since graduating in 2017, exposing her to a wide variety of dermatologic conditions and procedures. She is passionate about skin cancer screening and early detection of malignant lesions.

Elizabeth has a special interest in treating complex medical dermatology patients including those suffering from psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris and autoimmune skin diseases. She prioritizes providing comprehensive patient care while staying up to date on current treatments and procedures for optimal patient outcomes.
She believes in prioritizing an overall healthy lifestyle to reach long term skin health goals. She is passionate about patient education and ensuring that her patients are involved with their care plans.
Elizabeth recently relocated to St. Johns Florida with her husband and daughter. She and her family have enjoyed discovering their new home and all it has to offer, exploring downtown St. Augustine, local restaurants, farmers markets, and beaches. Outside of medicine, Elizabeth enjoys gardening, cooking, yoga and traveling.
Tiffany Upshaw, LE

Tiffany is a dedicated skincare professional who has recently joined the Bold City Dermatology team. With a passion for results-driven and advanced skincare, Tiffany offers extensive services designed to cater to all skin types, concerns, and ages.
Approaching skincare with a thoughtful balance of science and art, Tiffany's expertise is grounded by a cross-disciplinary history of training and certifications. She specializes in an array of skin concerns, including acne and the scars they leave, mature skin, hyperpigmentation, Melasma, and overall skin health maintenance. Her comprehensive service comprises a range of advanced skincare treatments and modalities from HydraFacial’s to Chemical Peels to Micro-Needling and Dermaplaning.
Beyond treatment, Tiffany enjoys learning the latest advances in her industry and is committed to empowering her clients with the same knowledge that she has obtained. In addition to gaining her as an educational resource, her clients receive a customized skincare regimen tailored to their specific goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Tiffany graduated in 2013 from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, with a Bachelors Degree in Communication and a double minor in Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies. She graduated in 2018 from Parisian Spa Institute in Jacksonville, FL, as a Florida Skincare Specialist and has been licensed since.
Tiffany’s guiding philosophy is that skincare does not stop at the treatment room: She aims to foster trustworthy relationships with her clients and guide them toward the optimal path for achieving their desired results. With her expert guidance and dedication to partnering with you on your skincare journey, you'll be on track to unlock your skin's true potential for radiance and vitality.
Outside of her professional passion, she loves traveling and spending time with her Fiancé Laveranues, bonus sons, Trilion and Landon, and young daughter Zya. Her family loves the colder climates, hitting the ski slopes, and overall just creating memories and enjoying quality time with one another.
